$1.2 M In Drugs Intercepted At US-Mexico Border

Today we have smugglers bringing people and drugs over our southern border. In a SHTF environment, we’re likely to have these same people coming across our borders just for a different reason.

If you live on the border you can expect the same criminal element to take advantage of the lack of border security. In a post-collapse America, I can see the number of people looking for an escape through the use of drugs to skyrocket. This just another way that the criminal element will take advantage of the situation.

Federal border agents seized more than $1.2 million in cocaine that suspected smugglers were trying to bring into the United States over the weekend.

In the largest seizure , U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Andrade port of entry near the Arizona border found 35 wrapped packages of methamphetamine and 26 packages of cocaine concealed inside a non-factory compartment in the cargo area of a white 2017 Renault Duster at 3:20 p.m. April 21.

A press release from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security reported the meth weighed 47 pounds and the cocaine weighed 69 pounds. Together, the estimated street value of the drugs was $892,500.

Officers arrested the driver, 23, a Mexican citizen and resident of Los Algodones, Baja California.
